My name is Alyssa Warren and I am originally from Findlay, Ohio. I graduated from Bowling Green State University in spring of 2022 with a degree in Visual CommunicationTechnology and a minor in Marketing with a GPA of 3.6.
My areas of focus were Print Media and Photography. Through two co-ops I have gained experience in the professional environment specific things

I really enjoy design and searching for new ways to broaden my design style. I use various social and print medias as ways to find inspiration for color schemes and layout ideas. I am always working on expanding my portfolio with pieces I have completed in my free time as well as projects I have completed in my role as a Graphic Design Intern for ProMedica.

Graphic Design Intern

January 10, 2022 - Present

I am currently working as a graphic design intern at ProMedica, a non-profit healthcare organization. In this role I am responsible for designing numerous types of marketing and promotional media, including, but not limited to brochures, panel cards, invitation sets, banners, ads, t-shirts, and TV graphics. We mainly utilize InDesign, Illustrator and PhotoShop to produce these pieces. As an organization, ProMedica strives to have a very strong branded presence throughout all media. This has allowed me to experience maintaining consistent brand standards and styles. I have also learned to manage many projects at once in this role by using Adobe Workfront.

Marketing & Communications Intern

Over summer '21 I was fortunate to complete my first cooperative experience with ASRaymond. In this full time position I gained valuable insight to the professional world which enabled me to grow in my confidence and skills as a designer. I enjoyed creating marketing assets like product sell sheets, email campaigns, trade show backdrops, and editing graphics. I also participated in marketing department meetings where I learned about marketing metrics and all that goes into collaborating at a global company.

Food Service

I have many years of experience in the food service industry. I have worked at Red Lobster, Applebee's, Subway and Taco Bell. These jobs have taught me many things, among them being: independent work, responsibility, accountability and customer service.

Taking care of children is a big responsibility and can be challenging. Nurturing creativity, conflict management, chauffeuring children to and from camps and practices, cooking & cleaning are some examples of daily tasks I managed.

Volunteer

November 2014 - March 2018

Throughout high school I participated in multiple volunteer programs. The position I was most invested in was being the wrestling team manager. I was responsible for recording match stats in real-time, the design of t-shirts, proofing weekly newsletters, organization of weigh sheets, skin forms, rosters, score sheets & film. I was also a part of the Red Cross Youth Council.
